The Oregon Coast has so many gorgeous locations from the top of the state by Astoria, down south on the coast in Brookings. No matter what city you chose along the coast you will find gorgeous landscapes that are perfect for your Oregon elopement. Here are a few of the locations I recommend:
- Cannon Beach: Its know for its iconic Haystack Rock rising dramatically from the Pacific Ocean, is a picture-perfect destination for eloping couples. Surrounding the beach are dunes covered in gorgeous tall grass. The beach stretches down to a hill that has a great over look of the beach as well.
- Hug Point: Hug Point State Recreation Site is a small, secluded beach cove that boasts a stunning combination of rocky coastline and sandy shores. As you explore the beach, you’ll discover hidden caves, tide pools, and a majestic waterfall cascading onto the sand during high tide.
- Cape Kiwanda: For adventurous souls seeking a blend of thrill and romance, Cape Kiwanda is the perfect elopement destination. The striking sea stacks and sandstone cliffs provide a picturesque backdrop for exchanging vows. This location allows you to choose if you want to say “I do” atop the dunes or on the cliff edge. You do have to hike to this location but it is so worth it when you get there. As you hike the trail leading to God’s Thumb, you’ll be surrounded by lush forests and vibrant wildflowers, adding a touch of whimsy to your journey. Once you reach the top, exchange your vows with the expansive Pacific Ocean stretching out before you, creating a truly magical backdrop for your ceremony.
